I am officially “going paid.”
2 months ago, I began publishing content for paying subscribers because I wanted to give back to paying supporters who expected nothing in return.
To my paying subscribers: Thank you so much for your financial support!
I have decided to continue producing this type of content as a paid product.
What will you get? You will receive a monthly deep dive on an equity hedge fund or a mutual fund (prioritizing larger, brand-name funds)
How much does it cost? Starting January 1, 2024, the paid version will cost $15/month or $150/year (2 months free for one year sub). That means: The time to lock in a $100/year subscription is now!
I am implementing a price increase for two reasons:
I could always use more $ to invest in resources that enhance the quality of my deep dives and expand my product offerings (ie. such as a subscription to Value Investor Insights or tickets to the Sohn Conference and CSIMA conference to report on insights)
A higher-priced product can attract subscribers who are more likely to realize the high ROI of leveraging my knowledge on the subject matter to land one of the highest-paying jobs.
Check out my three paid deep dives ($) and one free deep dive:

I came from a humble upbringing and don't have a traditional background. Knowing how "clubby" and opaque the investment management industry can be, I can relate to the feeling of "if you are not on the inside, you are on the outside."
To make matters worse, while every investment firm claims to be "private-equity-approach-to-the-public-market,” they try to do things just a little differently from one other in a desperate attempt to differentiate in front of their LPs while confusing you, the job candidate.
I want to provide you with the needed proprietary intelligence and highlight the idiosyncrasies of each fund so that you can stand out during networking and interviews, leading to your dream job and that big $.
The next paid deep dive will released tomorrow at 12 pm EST in two articles. It will be on another Tiger Cub hedge fund that manages $40 billion.
Of course, I will continue to publish weekly free content. If you have questions, contact me. Thank you all again for your continued support.
I will not publish next week given the Thanksgiving holiday. I wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Richard
Value Investor Insight, in my view, stands out as an excellent resource for investment principles and ideas. The higher prices are validated by what you gain from reading it and the value you can provide. Cheers!
